Josiah Cleavland Deed from Oeneco

Canterbury october.12.1704 at a Town meeting legally warned this Town allowed of voted and granted this deed withall the land therein contained to the within written Josiah Cleavland his heirs and Assigng forever Attest Elisha Paine Town Clark The above written Grant is Recorded in the Town book . folio.73: viz. Grants of Lands

These presents witnesseth that I Qucchataset of Manamet [doe] sell unto Richard [?]Bourne of Sandwich for the use of James Skeff sen: of Sandwich a certaine small parcell of upland lying upon the easterly side of the [Herring?] river [as?] [wee?] [goe] to the [ha?se] of [Ezra?] [Perry?] Bounded as followeth viz the southerly bound neare unto the place where the hill cometh neare the cart way & the exact Bounds [is?] a great rock upon the lower side of the cart way & the line extending to the river & from the great rock upon a north easterly line to a markt pine tree & soe extending to the top of the Barren hills & soe round at tbe hills runneth to a round hill whereupon stands a [taule?] pine tree markt upon [fowre?] sides & from this pine tree downe to the river upon a south westerly line to markt pines and to an [asp?] tree marked on two sides neare unto a spring in a small swamp & soe extending to the river : the river being the lower bound of this tract of land all which the premises I Quechataset doe sell and alienate from my self heirs executors and assings unto Richard Bourne for & in the behalf of James Skeff sen of Sandwich for him [his?] [ex...?] and assigns for ever with all the apurtenances priveleges [?] [?] with wood timber or the like being upon the land before [specified?] : with liberty to get timber & wood for building fencing & fyer wood & likewise liberty for the cattle of them that shall posses the land to feed any where with out this foresayd tract of land where unto I Quechataset have set to my hand & seale being allready sattisfied for this tract of land above [specified?] witnes my hand this 12 of July 1667 witnes Richard Bourne: the mark of [mark] Quechataset [?] Bourne

I Richard Bourne being ordered by the court to buy a persell of land for James Skeffe above sayd : after I had bought [?] above sayd land there was a little peece of rocky land left about ten ackers lying betwixt [?] above sayd & purchased land & the land that [?] [?] in the lands of Ezra Perry sen. [?] spring running to the river I Richard Bourne that abovesayd small percell for James Skefe & [?] that likewise unto the sayd james Skeffe : witnes my hand this fowrth day of march in the yeare 1681 Richard Bourne
