To all whom these presents shall come - greeting:

Whereas: By an act of the Legislature approved Feby 10th 1860, authorizing the Governor of this State - to appoint an assistant to State Geologist, who shall act under the direction of the State Geologist

Now know ye - That in concequence there of - and by virtue of the Constitution and Laws of this State, We do appoint: George Little Assitant State Geologist - and authorize and empower him the Said George Little, to Execute and fulfil the duties
