Minutes of Meeting held Dec 18th 1903 Present all - Cr OShanahan in the Chair Minutes of last Meeting read & confirmed Financial Statement read by Chairman Correspondence Letter from J Venning stating that the road leading to his house wanted Clearing Overseer to report at next meeting. W.E. Good } - Stating that road leading to White River E Rueter } Station was in bad state & asked that it should be repaired Moved by Cr Bruce Seconded by Cr Puckridge, that the request be granted & one weeks work to be done. Carried Circular Dalgetty & Co Rec Circular C. L. Dept _ rec letter from D. Halls stating that road from Koppio to Cummins wanted clearing and asked same to be done--- Mov. Cr Puckridge, 2nd Cr Radford o/s report at next meeting. Letter from A.L. Forbes re permission to erect Goods Shed at Jetty l- moved by Cr Puckridge 2nd by Cr. Radford that request be granted at a Rent of £2.2-. a year 21 year's Lease Carried--

December 18th 1903 Contd-----Engineer to Cl Dept. Stating that inpector would be over here shortly & would inspect the work done at Mt Dutton approach. Cr Puckridge reported that he had seen the Commissioner of Public Work who stated that he would not oppose any objection - Letter from Mrs Morrison re Dr Kinmont a/c For injuries to son-Clerk to reply stating that council have no power to pay same. Letter from D Seddon asking that a light should be fixed at the end of the JettyMoved by Cr Puckridge 2nd by Cr Bruce that letter be sent on to the Marine Board---------Carried Letter from Rate payer's enquiring about petition was held over pending the opening of parliament. Letter from the Best lighting Coy-Circular from S.G. recd-letter from S.G. stating that C.E. Shultz petition was returned for correction, and A.S. Sinclair The land not being in his name-Receipt from same office for £196-11 Main Road voucher's returned from Audit Office. Moved by Cr Barraud Seconded by Cr Puckridge that Tenders be called for continuing Stacking Ground at Tumby bay approach returnable in fortnight. Chairman and any Councillors present to open Cr Radford asked the overseer to placeon table all Roads used & vacant roads & who pays for same - 2nd by Cr Barraud -- Carried A/C Passed. E. December 18th. 1903 Contd Petition signed by 180 residents introduced by Cr Bruce who explained the need to have communication by light line of Railway from this port to the Hundred lately settled & moved that this Council endorse the petition & do all they can to forward the movement --2nd by Cr.Puckridge. Unanimously Carried. Moved by Cr. Puckridge 2nd by Cr. Bruce, that in the event of not being able to get a man at Tumby to poison Townships to have one sent from Port lincoln. Carried Notice of Motion-----Moved by Cr. Puckridge Seconded by Cr. Radford that the payment of sparrows be discontinued Motion lost-------Moved by Cr. Puckridge 2nd by Cr. Bruce that the street be lighted with Best Light lamps-------one at corner of this Block one at Pier Corner one at JK Bishops shop opposite P.L. Hotel Carried

Cr Bruce gave notice that the resolution relating to the £1-1-0 a year being given to Institute be discontinued--- & notice to that effect to be given them, re hole in from of Mr Gowen house to be attended to Mr F LeBrun granted permission to fill same up as far as he has material moved by Cr. Bruce 2nd. by Cr. puckridge that Tenders be called for painting and repairing fence in Tasman Terrace, returnable fortnights Car Moved by Cr. Bruce 2nd by Cr. Puckridge that 1-1-0 be granted to the Blind Deaf & Dumb Institution. Carried.
