This is the argument which I declare to be a miserable fallacy.
I did intend to submit to your reason a refutation of it which should be strict and complete.
I actually wrote it out, and I think you would have found it clear and convincing.
But I have decided to supress it, because it could hardly be compressed into the who, you would have found it very dry, the strain upon your minds would have been fatiguing and you would perhaps have lost patience at my carful examination of all the Protean whys in which those who defend argument might vary it.
I think I can greatly relax the strenuency of my reasoning and still leave significantly clear [?cing]
