AGW.
File No. 1053.

May 15, 1906.

The Engineer, Thirteenth L. H. District,
Portland, Oreg.

Sir:
Referring to your joint report of 4 May, '06, relative to the leasing or the selling of the Yaquina Bay, Oreg. light-house reservation, the Board states that on 12 May, '06, the Department addressed a letter to the Treasury Department, stating that at the meeting of the Light-House Board on 7 May, '06 the Board decided that there is no objection to the use of this lighthouse reservation and buildings thereon by the Life-Saving Service, under such conditions as may be prescribed by the Engineer of the Thirteenth L. The Board therefore authorizes you to permit the Life-Saving Service to use this lighthouse reservation and buildings for life-saving purposes, under the prescribed conditions.
Respectfully,
???
Lieut. Col., Corps of Engineers, U. S. A.,
