Nathani

In the 1920s my father worked in a company store in West Virginia. He once mentioned that they sold a byproduct of milling grain called "chipped stuff" (at least, that was the way I heard it). It was used for animal feed and for making moonshine.

Nathani

It appears that Ship Stuff is a legitimate term whereas Chipped Stuff is probably not. It can refer to a low grade flour or "wheat offals".
