A good day. Cloudy all the
evening & rain tonight. Jim &
Ben stripped tobacco until
twelve then Jim carried
a few apples to Hutchersons
and ground them. Ben &
I went to Gretna
to meet Mrs Car. She did
not come. WE are all sorry.
Fanny bathed Franklin & Mabel.
This evening Kate Harvey &
Grace Brumfield Lottie Kelly
and Sally Blair come to
see Josie. I am glad that
they come. I would of bin
glad to seen them all
but there was some thing
that I wanted. Nellie put
up some pickle this morning.
