Sir --

Annexed is a Copy of an order I -
have received from the Commrs of Her Majesty's
Customs -- appointing one Receiver of Wreck for the
district therein named, -- of which I beg to apprize
you. -- And with reference to the 445 sec of
M. S. Act 1854, -- & the Instructions conveyed with
[Y.?] O. 106/1855, - I will thank you to notify the same
to the respective Lieutenants of Nations within your
district with directions to communicate with
me in all matters relating thereto --

In reply to your letter of the 4th.
Just on the subject of the breaking up of the
French "Lugger" [Freres Uins?,] I beg to acquaint
you I have seen the French Consul on the
subject--who will call upon you early on
Monday & confer with you respecting her disposal
Any arrangement that you may come to on
the subject, -- after conferring together, -- will be satisfactory to

I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your
note of yesterdays date requesting to be nominate
my Deputy at Bridlington in respect of wrecks
assure -- were it in my power to nominate
a deputy -- which I have not out of the Coast
Guard, -- you are not the first applicant -
