Gentlemen

I have to acknowledge the receipt of your no-
tices of the 11' and 12' Inst acquainting me that as owners Agents you have
taken possession of the Anchors, Chains &c and to apprize you I have
been instructed by the Board of Trade, that to enable you to act as an
Agent you must have a written authority from the principal
therefore we beg to refer you to my letter of yesterday's and any letter
therein quoted

Anderson to explain whether the two pieces of
lumber herein mentioned are the same as those

Sir,

Herewith you will receive certain papers upon which
I will thank yo to obtain reports from the proper

Shacklock and those mentioned by Messrs Bramble & Son
