Captain Metcalfe 1 Janry 1856
Sir

I returned to Hull last evening word
this morning found your reply to Mr. Snowden
on the subject of Messrs Bramble of.s letter.-
of Course I must send it to the Board of
Trade but without your official report it will
be useless. Can you now make an official
report or do you wish their letter to pass to you
through the Controller General of the Coast
Guard at all times following this latter
course, will cause the loss of much
time. but I have no alternative but
to send the letter forward unless Messrs
Bramble pay the £ 2..17.3 -
I have an order on the subject of the French
Fishing Boat reducing or rather lopping
off £ 3 from Lt Stewart's Bill on which you
shall hear further in a few Days.
