453 0f the M.S.Act-1854 they may not be
sold forthwith- I must however apprize
you that the whole of these small parcels
of wreckage are upon property in respect
of which Manorial Rights are claimed by the
proprietors of the same upon which point
you have not yet instructed me. -
In bringing the claim of gentlemen to -
Manorial rights under your consideration
I may omitted one point Viz The Manor of
Rise is as granted by William & Mary to the
Duke of Portland from whom Mr.Bothells
family purchased the property -
The parish I am desirous of bringing {before} under your
particular notice is whether the Duke of Portland
had power of sale over the Manorial Rights
granted to him or to his ancestor- If he had
not -Mr Bethell has no manorial right
