I beg to acquaint you for the information
of the Bridlington Harbour Commissioner's -
that I have been directed by the Board of
Trade not to allow wreck goods to be
taken possession of by any person under
a plea that they possess manorial
rights over a particular district without
the consent of the said Board - and
having been informed that the said
Harbour Commissioners have taken
possession of a piece of Timber
salved by George Mainprize on the
15th May 1855 - and numbered in the
Book of the Received of Wreck for the
district 161 I request you will have the
goodness to inform me for the information
of the Board of Trade by what authority
