Mr Jas Stephenson Bridlington Quay
D Sir 14 July 1856
Since my Appointment as
Receiver of Wreck I have kept all papers
relative therto apart from all others
in a place strictly appropriated to
Wreck papers. I have carefully
looked them all through and cannot
find any other account of Sale of
Wreck but those you now have in your
possession. And as you have left
the Transcripts you made of your
Fathers Book I send the Book
itself - which you will find has
been correctly copied on the two
Sheets I sent you with Lt.
Stewarts accounts of Sale with
respect to Lot No. 60 which sold for
£1.16.0 also answering for Lot 90
3 Oak Planks - 114 pieces of oak Beam
115 - --------------do----------------------
Surely Lt. Stewart can remember whether all that
Wreck was sold in one Lot. If he can give no
better explanation I see no other course open for a
solution of the matter than the one you have named.
