Martha Wallace of having received £5 for the information
I will thank you to send for those men and point
out to them how very illegally they are acting, and
explain to them that if they assault either of the
persons I have named, they will be severely punished.
At the same time tell them that neither Mainprize,
his wife, or any one else - informed in the matter -
That the circumstance was too notorious to require any

Sir,
I have returned to Messrs Foster the sum of
£11. 10. 0 as written directed, and shall take credit for the
same in the current Quarter - referring to this order
With respect to your observations respecting Danby -
The Magistrates were fully in possession of all the circum-
stances of the case before they came to a decision - They
were informed by Mr Foster that he paid Statters £11. 10. 0
for the Tallow - and by Statters that he had paid the
men but £6 " 10 " 0 - and that I had impounded the
£5 " 0. 0 - They were also informed of the manner in
which the said £6 . 10 " 0 was divided --- viz ---
To Statters - for his trouble -- 10 " 0
" Each of the five men 24/- 6 " 0. 0
