17: Light W. to W.N.West wind these 24 hours with frequent light rain showers. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. Barometer 29.70 to 29.94 today. 1st Asst sawing wood for 2nd Asst and went fishing today.

18: Light N.W. to East wind these 24 hours with clear fine and cool weather. Sea very smooth. General duties for the day. 1st Asst sawing wood for 2nd Asst & went fishing. Barometer 30.20. 2nd Asst went to Newport after mail & supplies. keeper writeing in office.

21: Gale to fresh breeze South rain first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light S. to S. East wind light rain showers and thick damp fog. Sea moderately smooth. 1st Asst clearing logs away from the shoal??? next to beach. Barometer 30.36.
