A clear colde day. Ice plenty.
This morning guess the most
of the fruit is killed.
Ben carried Jim and Nellie
to the train and back by
about ten oclock.
We have staid here all
day. Henry come down
stairs today. I hope that
they may soon get well.
John Hutcherson was
here this evening.
Said Mrs Jesse
has measles.
I am sorry for them
with that baby and
no one to wait on them.
I get to want to see some
of the children so bad.
I feel like starting
but I cant go and
some of them cant and
wont come to see me.

I grew up about 20 miles from the Brumfield farm and the average last frost date was always considered to be around April 15 so this was a late hard freeze.
