A good day. No rain.
You never see the crop
need rain worse.
I cooked dried beans
for dinner and I am
glad to have themn to cook.
I have plenty of chickens
[lang?] enough to kill.
Ben and Henry and John Ward
plowed over some corn.
They worked tobacco
this evening.
Christenia Reynols
and Doris Brumfield
come a while this
evening. They looked
[frest?] and good. I was
glad to see them.
Henry has gone seining
with Mr. Mayhew
and Hugh and Oscar
Brumfield.
