Sunday 21 - very cold
wood is scarce still I am
tolerble comfortable
went over to Bolicor(?) and
preached in the Methodist
church to the soldiers only
three citizens present and
they (__) (__) preached
from Heb 3 chap 13 verse
and returned to quarters
Col Horn and Corporal
Mahon was in with me
to night and spent a pleasant
time with them

Monday 22 our Col gave
me a furlo approved by
Gen Henly(?) to visit my family
started for home 1/4 past one oclock
stoped at the Mausiore(?) House in
Baltimore all night

Tuesday 23 took the cars at
Baltimore 1/2 past 8 oclock arrive
in Elkton took passage with
A. L. Sayton(?) for home and
arrive there about 4 oclock
quite a party of children meet
me when I got out of the
carriage
