Friday 6th this morning blowy(?)
and cold firing of blank
cartridge on Batalion drill
this morning for the first in
my quarters all day class meeting
to night in Lieu grant quarters
a good turnout and a good
time am well except a
slight cold this day five(?) months
ago muster in to service

Saterday 7 this morning raining
high wind and cold very
unpleasant Visited the Hospital
prayed with the Sick nothing
of much interest to day the
traveling so bad that it is
unpleasant to be out
have bean reading
Fsulom(?) genation(?) life how far we
live below the Christian
standard am in good
health for which I am
thankfull no meeting
to night
