Sunday 22 very warm and
pleasant but mud mud
it was with great dificulty
that I could get to the church
I preached at Balivor from
first John & 46 we had a
good turnout considering
the bad travling had a conversation
with the General this evening
he is a very pleasant man I
am in good health thank god

Monday 23 in my quarters until
noon reading and righting
visited the hospital walked
down to the Ferry some pain
in my head headquarters
visited to night by the band
waggon hauling Brick to make
a walk for the General and
his staff the contrast between
the officers and tghe men is very
great except in bravery and
I believe the men in general
is as brave as the officer
am in tolerable good health
for which I fealthankfull
