Thursday 9 I am still very
sore from my ride I recd a
letter to day from home and
I wrote home to my family
I took a walk to day in town
it is quite a pleasant little town
is the capital of Clark County
the weather is very pleasant I am
in good health

Friday 10 the morning very
pleasant and warm Spent
the day in walking about
amongst the men the enjoy
(__) playing Ball pitching
quarters & (__) up any tent
for Sleeping in filled my tick
with Straw received a letter
from H. S. McCorrals Wilmington
am in good Health except
soreness from riding.
