new ground, Killing Hogs at Aspen
Grove, sent Claiborne down there
with Load boards & to help kill hogs
Jerry got back from Lynchg last
that is the 7th. Rained & cloudy for a
day or Two now turned off Cold
Jerry gone to Plantation to night
& I am home —Henry went to mill
& will send him to Tates mill with
wheat & cotton to Pick this day
Let Henry have 1 Bushel wheat from
old place for Pig last spring & Sent
it to mill & 2 Bushels wheat for me
flour & 2 Bags cotton to Pick one
45 lb & 1 61½ lb making 106½ lb

9: 10: 11 Went to meeting Saturday
& Sunday Covered Barn on Road here
Cutting at new ground here done
but little at Plantation last week
Negroes hunting homes I stayed
last night dryed up [unclear] & cutting
up [unclear] meet to day Plowing
down there to day Raining to night.
