A good day.
Ben and Paul and Owen replanted tobacco until dinner then commence to work out the tobacco.
Josie washed. I got dinner. Killed the first young chicken to day.
We all went to Carries. I went to Reynolds. Kate Harvey come to Carries. Doris and Christenia Reynolds come here, They wanted my suitcase and got it.
Hazel is sick. Hope she may be better by morning.

Monday, June 10, 1918
A good day.
Ben plowed the garden and potatoes this morning.
He cut his rye today.
Paul Bennett come home at twelve oclock.
Paul carried Josie and the children and I up to Renan. We went to see Kate Harvey and Mag Brumfield this evening. Johnson and Mollie Reynolds went to Charlottesville to day to see Clifton married. Julia and Howard Fergerson come to Reynolds yesterday.

Tuesday, July 2, 1918
A good bright day.
The men folks plowed in the corn. Marvin got up hay. Josie washed.
Mrs Owen and Mrs Winston and Hattie Gilbert all gave us a mess of snaps to day. We have got good neighbors.
This evening Henry and I walked to Mr Creasys fish pond. The water is so low that you cant fish in it to catch anything.
We come back by Kates. She was at home by her self. Virginia was at Reynolds's. 10 oclock
Wednesday, July 10, 1918
A good day. Had a sprinkle of rain this evening.
Josie picked black berries this morning and made preserves this evening.
Johnson Reynolds had his wheat thrashed to day. Ben helped. They thrashed at Marvins this evening. I helped Carrie get supper. Mrs Carr was sick most of the day is better tonight.

I had a letter from Mary Brumfield.
Wednesday, July 17, 1918
Rain most of the day.
Ben shod his colt this evening. Paul went to Johnson Reynolds and got a nice basket of peaches this morning. This evening he has gone to up in his olde neighborhood.
I went to Carries this evening and helped Carrie peal some peaches.
Josie was sick all the morning but is some better this evening. I wrote Jim a note tonight.
