A good day. Ben sowed wheat. Owen and Paul Josie and I stripped tobacco. Heard today that John McCormic died this morning. I never have heard of as many deaths and as much sickness as there is now.

The ware houses has closed for a while. Bruce Reynolds come home yester day. Mrs Cook is at Johnsons visiting.

Ben has gone to Mrs Starkeys for seed wheat. He went on his car.

A clear windy day. Mr Power and Carr was here this morning. Ben worked on the house this evening.

Josie got dinner. She fixed steak and made potato sallid this evening. I went to Carries. Mollie and Johns was there.

Henry and Edna went to school. Two of the teachers went to the teachers meeting at School field.

A cloudy day but no rain. Ben worked on Owens house. Josie staid at home and worked all day.

Ben carried me to Johnson Reynolds be fore light this morning. I went with them to Danville. We was at Spring Garden be fore it was light good. We saw lots of pretty things. I did not by much. Eat supper at Mollies and enjoyed it. The boys Robert and Floyd got them a bycicle to day.

I am at home to night O K. Miss Janie is here to night. I enjoy having her.

A good day and warm for the time of the year. Ben worked on Owens house this morning and went to Cedar Forest this evening. Josie ironed to day and got dinner.

Johnson Reynolds sent us some oysters. We had them for dinner and supper. I stewed pumpkins boiled meat and made scrapple boiled beets.

Then went to Marvins a little while. Ben had a letter from John to day heard from Jim. He has bin complaining with rheumatism. I do hope he may get well soon.

Franklin got slippers to day. He was so proud of them.

A cloudy morning clear this evening.

Ben and family went to Jim Powers. Fanny Power come with them home.

I went to Johnson Reynolds they were going to Jim Thompsons. I went with them. I had a pleasant day. Alice had a very nice dinner turkey and olde ham and every thing needful. There was crowd eat dinner all kindfolks. Ben and Fanny Power has gone to Lee Brumfields to night. Guess they will dance.
