A good day. Some clouds but no rain. Ben moved Sam Owen here today. Mr Mayhew brought one load for him. Ben is up at the cabbin now helpin fix up his things.

Carrie and Paul, Roy and Hazel was with her. Reese was at school. They intended to make some candy but could not get what they wanted to fix it with and did not make any. Some man come today and got the Wooding cow. Hope he wont be sorry that he got her.

A clear morning then clouded up and hailed before twelve oclock. Ben and Owen got up their plant beds and sowed them. Josie baked a cake and got dinner.

I washed a few garments. Lizzie Bennett come to night. I am glad that she came. She went to see Charles this evenin.

I am always glad to see any of them.

Reese and Paul Smith and Roy Smith come a little while this evenin. Reese and Henry caught the little calf but could not manage him.

A good day here. There was clouds and rain a round and very hard thunder. Ben and Paul and Owen worked on the barns this morning. This evening Owen helped Hutcherson thrash wheat.

Josie got dinner. This evening she put strings around Bens water melon patch.

I went to Reynolds they were all at home except Johnson. I had a pleasant visit. I like Jane fine. Come back by Marvins they were getting on fine.

A very warm day some clouds and thunder but no rain. Josie washed and hemed the curtains.

Ben and Paul and Owen helped pull leaves at Marvins this evening.

Henry and Reese went to Johnson Reynolds this evening and got some nice peaches. Will have them to put up in the morning. I am very glad of them.

A good day. Some clouds a bout but no rain to stop work. Ben and Paul and Owen cut two barns of tobacco today. The children and I and Mrs Owen helped what we could. Josie washed this morning and ironed this evening.

I think Ben has gone to make fires in the flues now. Ben has a lot of nice water mellons now.
