A good day but windy. Ben and Owen burnt plant beds. Josie ironed.

I went to see Charles. He is very feeble.

I do hope he may get better yet. Frank Mays and Lee Brumfield and Irvin Lewis went to Chatham to day. Kate Harvey and Mrs Mayhew and Laura Mayhew was at Charles.

To day was the first time that I have bin to Renan this year. I hope to go a gain soon. Chesley Edmons commenced work at Kates to day. Hope he may finish his crop.

A rainy day most of the time clear tonight and the wind is blowing. Ben carried Virginia and Helling & Nettie as far as Kates. It rained so hard they stopped at Kates.

Josie and I got dinner and set by the fire all that we could. Mrs Mayhew came this evening and wanted Ben to saw some wood for him. I do hope the wind won't blow to hard all night.

A good day. Ben sowed grass seed. Jim planted things in the garden & a potatoe patch. Josie sowed for Franklin most of the day. This evening I went to George Blairs. Denia was not at home. I had a pleasant time with the girls. I stoped at Mr Hutchersons. Mrs Mayhew was there. I am glad that she is able to get round that much. I enjoyed being with them.

Kate Harvey come to Marvins and her and Carrie come here. I am sorry that I was not at home. Marvin went to the Iland for a phonogapt for Carrie and Josie. Ben and Josie have gone up there to night and I dont know when they are coming back. Mabel stayed a wake until after nine oclock. Marvin solde Jerrie [Jennie?] to day.
