A clear day. Ben went to see Charles this morning. He is very feeble.

Ben and Owen cut in the woods this evening. Josie staid at home all day. Miss Mayhan and Virginia Harvey come down here a while this evening. I went to Reynolds and staid all day.

They had killed hogs at Reynolds yesterday. Mollie gave me a mess of meat. They were all well up there. Ben has gone to Strait Stone to the lodge to night. All of our folks has gone to bed and I will go soon.

A colde windy day.

Marvin killed his hogs. Ben helped him. Mr Dews shucked corn. Owen helped him.

I went to Carries and staid a while. Frances Callans (col'd) helped Carrie to day. Josie staid at home with Franklin. She sewed some.

Heard to day that Willie Mayhew went to Danville for Steven Davis and they looked for him home last night and he had not come yet tonight. I feel uneasy a bout him. I do hope that nothing serious has happened to him. He is one of our best neighbors.

A cloudy day. Ben has bin complaining all day.

Mr Owen and Marvin and William Gilbert killed two hogs for Ben this evening.

Josie got dinner. I cleaned up the smoke house then I took he fat off the intrils and cleaned the feet of the hogs.

Ben carried Miss Janie home and got Mr Jim Emersons tining tools. He wants to cover Owens house soon.

Henry and Edna went to school to day. Floyd Reynolds come by here this evening and got a few eggs. He was on his bycicle. I feel like I know he broke them.

A cloudy day most of the day. Ben and Owen killed hogs this evening. Josie baked a cake. Carrie came down here a few minutes this evening.

I finished knitting for Thelma to night.

Have wrote to Effie to night.

A good day. Ben and Marvin went to Kates and killed her hogs. Josie and I worked on our lard and sausage. Josie ground and made the sausage and dried up some of the lard.

I worked at the wash house and she at the house.

Ben brought some things at Renan to day.

I got a piece of flanel from Chatham by mail to day. Josie sent Effies knitting to day.
