A colde day. There was ice plentiful this morning. Ben cleaned up the branch. Jim plowed until dinner then Mr. Owen plowed until night.

Josie went to Marvins and got salit for dinner. She got dinner. I went to Mr Owens and bathed the little baby this evening. I went to Mollies, and got salit from Posies garden. Mrs Hutcherson was there. She had bin to the store. Dr Owens baby is very sick. I hope she may soon be well. Posie Reynolds come down here this evening and got cickamore bushes to plant. I heard to day a bout Cliftons boy. Jim & Ben has gone to night to Renan to get some cottens[coulters?] to work with tomorrow. Hope they will soon be back.

A good day. Ben & Jim cleaned up on the spring branch. Josie ironed some then got dinner. I ironed while she got the dinner.

Henry & Edna went to school. I went to Mr Owens and bathed the baby.

This evening I went to Marvins and cut some salit. We looked for Mrs Edmons. She did not come.

Josie went to see Mrs Owens baby this evening.

A good day. Mr. Owen hauled a load of guano from the island. Mr Mayhew hauled four loads. Jim plowed.

Josie got a mess of turnip salit from Posie Reynols and got the most of the dinner. Henry went to the store this morning.

This evening Mary Towler & Minty Motley and I went to George Blairs and had a nice time. Denia was not at home. Wren Worsham was at Georges. Him and three children. He brought us most of the way home.

A good day. Ben & Owen worked on their tobacco land. Jim plowed some in the garden.

Bettie Rosser washed.

Mary and Mintie and I and Edna & Henry went to Johnsons. Nannie Kate Reynols & her baby come over there.

Josie baked some pies for dinner. I cut salit.

I went to Renan. Paid Lewis what I owed him. Bought some prunes & candy.

My shoes that Josie ordered come. I got a little check interest on my bonds.

A clear day and very colde for this time of the year. The men folks worked on their corn land all day.

Josie got some plant bed salit for the first time this year. She bake some ginger cakes this morning. Light bread this evening. I washed some today. Hived a swarm of bees this evening. They were so colde they could hardly fly.

I am a fraid that there will be a killing frost to night.
