A good day. Willie and part of the chldren spent the day with us. Mollie and Christenia and Mildred Fergerson, Reubin & Posie & Bruce Reynolds and Alice Thomson & her children and Mrs. Kent all come to see Willie. I was glad to see them all.

I have not seen Carrie to day. Hope I may see her soon.

A good day. Jim & Ben finished cutting oats and went to night after supper to cap them. They hope that it will rain by morning. They got up some rye this evening. Josie went to see Julia Fergerson & her baby this morning.

Carrie & all of her children and I went to see Julia this evening. They had a lot of company. Grace Brumfield & Sallie Blair, Kate Harvey, Alice Thomson and all of her children and I went to Mollies but I did hear any news of importance.

A good day. Cloudy tonight and a little rain. Jim & Ben plowed corn and cut off tobacco hills getting aready to plant tobacco. Mr. Owen carried Alice Thomson & children Mrs Thomson & I and Jane Reynolds to white falls. We did not catch many fish but had a good time. Mrs Car was with Josie. Carrie Reese and the little girls and Kate Harvey come a little while. Virginia H and Doris B come a a while. The children went to the Sulpher Springs. They had a good time Their teachers was with them. They had ice cream.

Friday, January 26, 1923

A good day. Ben and Jim went to Gretna on Mr. Bookers car. Jim went on to Chatham. Ben come home. Nellie got Dinner. I went to George Blairs. I walked over there. George Jr. brought me home. I was glad that he did. Mrs. Carr has bin complaining all day. Mabel has a bad colde. Heard today that Alice Thomson is very sick. I do hope that she may get well. Dr. Owens childe is better so we heard. There is more sickness in the country than can be attended to. I do hope that there will soon be a change for the better. Co??? combed my hair today.
