A good day most of the day. Had a little rain this evening. Ben and Paul still working tobacco. Josie ironed. I got dinner. I planted some cucumber and pumpkin seed.
Josie and Ben went to Strait Stone this evening and got some things. Among them were 4 tin buckets.
Mr Dave Layne and his son [ink smear] Walter and got a cow [smear] and calf.
Edna and Franklin are sick. If anyone wonders why this page is so blotted, I went to sleep.

Saturday, June 8, 1918
A good day. Cool for the time of year.
Ben and Paul worked until dinner then went to Strait Stone. The Odd fellows had a lecture this evening and the ladies solde ice cream. There was a big crowd there.
Josie staid at home with Franklin.
Marvin brough cream home. Josie went up there and got some. She did not want to go.
Ben went back to Strait Stone tonight. We expect Mr Turner to come with him home. Josie is upstairs preparing a room for him.

Saturday, June 22, 1918
A good day cool and windy. Had a good shower last night. Josie staid at home and ironed and got dinner. Paul thinned corn. Ben went to the meeting of the School Board. Henry and Edna and I went to White Falls fishing caught several fish.
To night Ben has gone to Strait Stone to the Lodge. Paul has gone to the school house the rest of them has gone to bed.

Sunday, June 23, 1918
A cool day for this time of the year. Ben and Josie and Paul Bennett went to Strait Stone to preaching.
Henry and I staid at home. Gladis and Hugh Brumfield come. Kate and Irvin Harvey come. They were here for dinner I was glad that Kate come. She had not bin here in a long time be fore.
I went to Willie Mayhews to an ice cream party. The cream was fine I did enjoy it so much. I come home on Mr Bob Starkeys car was glad of the ride. Heard that Nannie Reynolds has a girl born to day.

Thursday, June 27, 1918
A good day. Ben went to Strait Stone and Cedar Forest hunting peas to sow. He got some from Lee B. Josie washed a big washing this morning. I got dinner. This evening I went to Posey Reynolds to see the new baby.
There was a house full of company there.
Did not see Mollie Reynolds she was gone to Jim Thompsons.
We bough war stamps from Irvin Lewis to day. Tom Starkey come by here on his car and brough me home from Johnson's barn.
Paul has gone to the school house a gain to night.
