Thursday, January 17, 1918
A clear day and warmer. Ben went to a sale at Walter Murphy_s on George Blairs land. Marvin Smith went to the mill at White Falls.
I got dinner to day killed a chicken.
Josie sewed on her quilt. Finished one ready to quilt. I made an apron this evenin. Ben Franklin is feelin some better to night.
Edna is complaining to night. Hope she will soon be well a gain.

Saturday, April 6, 1918
Ben and Owen plowed some. Josie baked a cake this morning.
Marvin Smith carried Reese and Henry and I to White Falls fishing. We did not catch anything.
Carrie and Marvin went to the Dr with Hazel this evening. He thinks that she has scarlet fever in a milde form. I hope she may soon be well.

Saturday, June 22, 1918
A good day cool and windy. Had a good shower last night. Josie staid at home and ironed and got dinner. Paul thinned corn. Ben went to the meeting of the School Board. Henry and Edna and I went to White Falls fishing caught several fish.
To night Ben has gone to Strait Stone to the Lodge. Paul has gone to the school house the rest of them has gone to bed.

Friday, June 28, 1918
A good day. Ben and Owen and Paul plowed in peas. Josie got dinner and ironed. I went to White Falls did not catch many fish. Marvin Smith carried Henry and I. Reese plowed while he carried us. We walked as far as Jim Thompsons.
Tonight Ben and Josie went with Paul to the school house.
Denia Blair come to Carries this evening. She brought me some snaps. I am glad of them.
All of the children are a sleep.

Tuesday, July 9, 1918
A good day. Ben and Paul and Owen plowed in their tobacco. Josie washed I got dinner. We got the first snaps out of our garden today and I burnt them so that we could not eat them. I had fried chicken and that was all. This evening Ben carried Henry and Edna and I to White Falls. Very much a gainst his will.
I caught enough fish to make a dish for supper. Mr Carrington Hubbard was here a while this evening. I did not meet him [ink mark] Well I went to sleep and made my mark.
