A good morning rain this evening.

Marvin brought Mollie Reynolds and I to Altavista this morning. We staid at Lynchburg until after three oclock then come to Peters Burg and from there to Richmond.

Willie come after us at the depo. It thundered and rained all the evening.

Some young man helped us with our suitcases I will remember him with pleasure.

A good day. Ben and Owen and Marvin helped Mr Dews rais a shed for a pit. I put two panes of glass in the window at the pit. Henry and I shucked two shocks of corn. Josie ironed and got dinner. She baked potato biscuit to night. She baked corn batter bread. I did enjoy it.

Miss Willie Wooding come a while this evening. Richard and Jane Wooding are both sick.

Carrie has two children sick. Marvin loaded his waggon to day intends going to Gretna Monday. Earnest and Lottie Craddock come to Blairs to day.

Ren Worsham and Ben Brumfield has gone to Lynchburg to night. Dont know when to look for them back.

Josie is ironing yet.

A good day. We had company this morning. Lizzie and Ola & Faber went to Marvins. I went with them. Ben carried us. We went from there to Johnsons. There we eat dinner and then we went to Kate Harveys.

We walked from Marvins to Reynols from there to Harveys. Marvin Smith carried us from there to George Blairs on his car. I walked from there home.

There was preaching at Strait Stone to day. Some of the Odd Fellows went to Lynch Burg this morning and brought 19 girls from the Odd Fellows Home to Strait Stone to preaching. There was dinner on the ground. Enough to feed them and some others.

Henry went to Lee Brumfields and went hazel nut hunting. Mrs. Owen got home from Roanoak to day.

A good day. Jim & Ben worked on Marvin's stable all day. Ben lost some time. Josie has been sick all day. She has a little girl born at 8 oclock tonight. Dr Owen went from here to Irvin Bennetts. The children all staid at Carries tonight.

I have done what work has bin done here to day. There is a light in the north tonight. Dont know what caused it. The fair is going on at Lynchburg 10 oclock

A good day Ben went for Mrs Car. She was in Lynchburg then he went several places trying to find some one to help him with the work. He could not find any one that would come. Jim stripped tobacco until dinner then he went to the mill. He got home after dark Franklin staid at Carries most of the day

Henry & Edna went to school Hattie worked some for Josie this evening
