A good hot day. Ben finished his house of tobacco then they cut for Marvin all the evening. All you hear a bout it is how sorry it is.

Josie and I washed this morning and then got dinner. We both have staid at home all day. Josie went and picked some snaps for dinner tomorrow.

A good day we need rain bad. Ben & Jim plowed in the corn and Henry thinned corn all day.

Mrs. Car & Josie strung snaps Mrs. Trent & I scraped the potatos. I baked a pudding. This evening Mrs Hutcherson & Ada Hutcherson come and brought Josie some light rolls hot and some apples. Grace Vale come and picked berries. I went with them to the field.

Hattie bought four gallons of berries. There has bin the most dew berries that I ever saw.

I worked in Franklins foot this morning.

A good day. We had a shower this evening. Henry and I got up with the turkeys. Ben & Tim plowed some on the corn and helped Norman Booker get up some hay. Ben went to Gretna and got some flour that Jim bought. Hattie washed some this morning, Mrs. Mamie Hutcherson sent me some nice cabbage by Hattie. Mrs. Booker sent me some snaps by Jim. Miss Anna Hubbard sent Josie some light bread by mail. Mabel has cried a lot today. I hope she may feel better by morning. Ben bought some beef at Gretna I cooked some of it for supper. I hope to enjoy it.

A good day. No rain today. The men folks worked on the barns. Jim helped Mr. Booker on his flues. Kate Harvey and Irvin and Bill come a little while. They got some grapes. Denia and Cordie Blair come to see us. Carrie and three of her children come. We let Edna go home with them. I was glad to see all of them. Wish they could come often. Kate brought me some snaps. Jim has some fine mellons now. Mabel has a bad colde. Hope she may get well soon. I have finished stringing snaps. 10 oclock at night.

A cloudy day and some rain. Marvin and Hollie and Richards cut a cureing of tobacco. I wish I knowed what they done at home. Carrie made four waists today. I worked button holes in three. I got most of the dinner cooked. Snaps and butter beans and stewed tomatoes. We had peaches and cream. The first I had seen in a long time. Mrs Hollie come this evening with her three children. Roy Smith gathered snaps for tomorrow dinner. I gathered butter beans.
