A good day. Ben & Owen and Jim finished cutting corn.

Josie made Edna a dress and made some pickel of pears that she brought from her mothers orchard.

Marvin went to the saw mill twice today. Carrie washed some and ironed. William and Hattie Gilbert (col) picked peas.

I wrote Fannie Emerson a letter today. I went to Marvins this evening. Edna and Franklin went with me. We came by the orchard and picked up some apples.

A good day. Jim & Ben cut corn this morning.

Jim went to Chatham this evening. Reese Smith carried him. All the Smith children went with him. Marvin was up there & come with them home. The Reynols boys went to Chatham to day to enter school. Johnson drove the car. He ran over Marvins dog. Dont know how bad it was hurt.

Kate & Mollie was at Marvins to day. Kate come down here. Did not stay but a little while. Virginia Harvey is in NC at Spray. She claims to be visiting Hellen Brumfield.

A good day. Was cloudy this morning but cleared off soon.

Ben jobed a round all day. Henry cut some corn. Josie got dinner. I washed a little. Ben carried Edna to Dr Owens this morning to have her lip worked on. I am troubled a bout her. Hope she may soon be well.

Reese carried me to White Falls. I caught a few fish. Paul & Roy went with us.

Ben has gone hunting tonight.

A clear dry day. Jim & Ben cut corn. Marvin and his hand helped them this evening. Ben & Jim went to Renan. There was no one at the store. The children went to school. Franklin come home very much complaining. I hope he will soon be well.

Josie and I washed some quilts this morning. I am so glad that we are done that job.

Josie spent the evening mending on the clothes. I went to Marvins. Some of Carries children has bad colds. I sowed some on a quilt this evening and to night. Every one has gone to bed and I will go soon.

A good day. Cloudy all day. Rain tonight. We need rain very bad. Jim & Ben finished cutting corn today. Josie washed. I wanted to help her but did not do much. Mabel was so cross and did not want to stay at the wash house. I come to the house and churned. Josie helped get dinner. I sewed on my quilt all evening and tonight. The children went to school. This evening Josie went to Marvins. She said Carrie was shelling butter beans and she helped her while she was there.

The tobacco markets opened to day. We heard that the tobacco solde very low. I was in hopes that good would sell well. Ben & Jim has not got any good.
