A good day and very warm. Ben and Paul suckered tobacco. Josie got dinner. I do[d]ged a round as usual.

This evening we went to Marvins. Kate Harvey come here and then to Marvins.

Marvin had water mellons the first I have seen this year. Josie come by the corn field and got snaps. I got a basket of tomatoes.

Heard this morning that Julia Fergerson has a daughter born the 4th.

Josie and I wrote to Thelma and Mary.

A good day. Ben and Mayhew covered Owens house.

Josie washed a big washin of clothes and then went to Marvins. Carrie and Josie made some candy.

I staid with the children and worked at first one thing and then another.

I got a letter from Julia Fergerson and her babys picture. It is fine I think.

A clear cool day. Frost this morning. Ben come home from Strait Stone a bout twelve oclock last night. Jim Emerson come with him and staid all night and until some time this evening.

Ben brough ice cream with him more than Josie and I could eat. Jim Brumfield and Ben staid at home all day. Josie and the children and I went to Marvins.

Josie got most of the dinner. We had a chicken for dinner. The olde hog eat one of my hens this morning. I am very sorry.

Heard to day that Julia Fergersons baby has bin very sick. I do hope she will soon be well.

A cloudy day and some rain. Julia and the baby. Mrs Farmer and Mollie and I went to the citty park. It rained so that Julia & the baby staid under a shelter. The rest of us looked a round. There was a lot to look at. Fowls & flowers & animals. We got back to Howards and eat supper. John & Henry Brumfield come. Then we went to a picture show. While we were waiting for a car the fire bell rang. We went to see them throw water with their pump It is all a show for them that dont live in town. I certainly do wish that Ben & Josie & Carrie could be there and hear & see for a while. Julias baby cried a heap. I am a fraid it is not well.

This is wrote Thursday evening. I for got to write last night. Having such a big time.

A cloudy day and a hard rain this evening. We went to Norfork shopping did not get wet. John and Henry come again to night. John brought some candy. Mrs. Barker kept Julias baby. This is wrote Friday morning.
