A cloudy day. Some rain this morning. They planted tobacco all the evening. Mrs Owens and Mrs Dews and I drawed plants this evening.

We had a few straw berries for dinner to day.

Jim & Ben has gone to Renan to night. All of the rest has gone to bed and a sleep.

A good day. The men folks worked on tobacco land most of the day. Late this evening they planted some tobacco but it is so colde that things cant grow.

Mrs. Owen and I drawed plants. I got so colde that I quit and come to the house.

Josie and I washed some this morning. Josie got dinner.

Janie Brumfield and Delma Owen come to see the children this evening.

I started Julia Fergerson a letter to day.

I am so near a sleep that I cant hardly write.

10 oclock

The children found my Lady cow with a nice little calf.

Cloudy most of the day. The men planted tobacco all day. Mrs Owen and I drawed plantes. Josie got dinner. We all certainly did enjoy it.

Edna dropped plantes some. Josie & Franklin went to see Carrie a little while. This evening the weather is so cool that we have fires to sit by when we get a chance to sit down.

A good day. The men folks planted tobacco this morning. I drawed plants until twelve.

Dr Owen and wife ask me to go fishing. Their car got so it would not work. They left it on the road. John Hutcherson let the Dr have his and we went to Moons Pond. Did not catch any fish to speak of. I thank them for takein me with them.

Josie got dinner. She made vegetable soup. I thought it was very good.

We heard to day that Mrs Johnson died this morning. I am sorry for the family.

A good day. The men folks planted tobacco all day. I drawed plants all the time that I could. Mrs. Owen drawed this evening.

Beatriss Owen went to Long Island to meet her cousin. She did not come.

Josie got dinner and churned. She picked straw berries for dinner.

Two of Carries children are sick. I am so sorry. Hope they may be well soon.

Paul Bennett commenced to work at Marvins to day. I do hope that they may make a good crop.

Cordie & Nettie Blair come here this evening. I did not see them.
