A good day. Sprinkled rain a few times. Not enough to do any good. Jim & Ben and Henry worked in the tobacco all day.
Josie washed a big washing. I helped some. We had corn & caned beef for dinner. This evening Isla & Cordie come to see Mrs Car. I was glad to see them if they did not come to see me. Trinkle was elected yester day. We are all sorry.
I have not seen any of Marvins folks today. Reese would of carried me to White Falls but I was a fraid there would be a cloud. I am sorry that I did not go.

A rainy day. Ben & Jim stripped tobacco. Henry went to school. Franklin & Mabel has sore feet. I went to Marvins a few minutes. Found them well.
Nothing happened today worth writing.
We got the Lynchburg news telling that Trinkle is elected just as I expected. Hope he may make a good govonor.
