Feb 4- [Lapiers commenced grubbing] what he called Rumseys Dis covery-- He would not let us survey across his field. Ran home line from stone corner of Wm Campbell & Andrew Harvey S 69 1/2 E and came out about half way between old stump and stone in the woods -

----- 5 ---- Pleasant. put bottom in Bocats carriage-- Went in afternoon to survey for A. Harvey. Ran from small gum near two stones a corner of Getty(?) (3rd corner of Libs Fancy) N 1/2 degree W 32 per 33 perches came out .8 of a perch to right of old stump at junction of fence. The original patent of Harvey's land "Buckhead

in 1719 Hill was granted to Jno Jones for 100 acres on the eastern part of farm Harvey had his land resurveyed in 1744 and added vacancy making 169 Acres & in 1785 another resurvey by which 6 3/4 acres were shown(?) as belonging to "consent resurveyed" (this is in Harvey's wood adjoining Gallaher where 3 stones stand (___) together) and 3/4 of an acre was thrown out, as being in Lib's Fancy an elder tract. In Harveys resurvey in 1785 he runs to a stone on the given line of "Autego" thence with said line S 72 1/4E 150 per to a stone heap the Beg. of Autego thence South 32 per to a stone a corner of Dr. Wallace's land

February 6th 1852 Warm and cloudy; a little rain -- Eneas & Xavier Lapier set in on the 4th to grub the Lot out to the fence and make the rails for $30. and to have 50 cts per cord for the wood they cut & cord - paid W.J.Grant $7. for Thos Tyson.

--- 7 -- Worked in shop. Thomas Miller called and paid Poor House bill. Mrs Harlan & Eliza Jane here on a visit. Heard of the death of Wm Tyson's child.

----- 8th Sunday --- Went in the morning to see Danl J. & mother. Danl has made up his mind to remove to Balt County. Mr & Mrs Morris & Lizzie came up

Feb 9th 1852 Worked in shop at Evans' wagon. Weather moderate. -----10---- Went to Elkton with Mr Price. Commissioners met and great stir about Trustees of Poor Saw Thomas C. Crookshanks and he said that he would be ready to close the estate of Morris by April Term. Robt M Walmsley at N. York with horses & Robt Jr. there also sail on 16th for California.

11 Weather cold. I was un well with headache

--- 12-- Cold & Blustering. Mr. Morris came up. mended his car riage.

13 Feb 1852 Cold & stormy - Went to Magraw's to buy hubs Then went to W T Warburtons repaired clock stayed for supper. Came home by Samuel Hannah's Snowed in the afternoon. W. Price here

----- 15 --- Sunday - Stayed at home all day. D.J. here in the evening. Mr. Brown preached Milly at her father's -- Snow at night. --- 16 -- Snow on ground -- worked in shop. Adam Whann(?) died Looks stormy at night Heard a noise at 6 1/2 A.M. like an earthquake
