A petition made by Roger B. Taney on behalf of Joseph Grabill. The Justice of the Peace for Frederick County, MD had previously found against Grabill and in favor of Jacob Kiles for the use of George Morningstar, which amounted to a sum of £9 eleven shillings plus interest. Grabill petitioned that this decision was unjust and against the equity & right of the matter.

To the Honorable the Justices of Frederick County Court now sitting - The Petition of Jacob Kiles humbly sheweth that a judgement was rendered against your Petiitioner by

Esquire a justice of the peace for Frederick County in favour of Joseph Gabrill for the use of George Morningstar - which said judgement was reduced on the seventh of June eighteen hundred and six for nine pounds eleven shillings debt, and interest from the eighth of March last and four & four pence half penny costs - and which said judgement your petitioner alledges is unjust and against the equity & right of the matter & from which he your prays your honors to relieve him.
