Be it Resolved,
We, Your Committee, appointed to canvass the returns of the special election held in second Ward for Alderman, on April 20th 1899. respectfully report that T. J. Powell recieved 267 votes and W. A. Darter recieved 111 votes and W. R. Haywidker received 91 votes and that T. J. Powell received a majority of all votes cast for Alderman in said Ward, to fill out unexpired term of Alderman J. P. Nicks deceased.
