the Coals fetch'd no better price, but we did the best we
could, & as for our selves; there was no Prospect of Coals
Rising, the Town well supplied, & the Charge of storing
very high; & might have staid unsold 12 mo that we think upon the whole we Acted most for {your} Interest
in Disposing of them at the first good offer, and are
persuaded no Coals will be better Sold this Season.
The Ship was Dispatch'd in the Ten days agreeable
to Charter party, & {Captain} Hannay saild for Carolina
21st Inst.

We Tender you any further services
in our Power, & you may Rely none shall more Study
your Interest in all Respects, than, Sir

We have none of your fav'r unanswer'd. In our
last we forwarded you a New Power Executed by Matt Cumings
w'ch hope will Come safe to your hands, & that you will be
able to Settle that Affair; of which please to Advise, & pray
Send the Protest, with all Charged, that we may Recover
it of him.

We have Drawn on you of 18th July,
in {favour} of Mr. John Hannay for £100 {sterling}, and of 29th July
in {favour} Mr. Bryan Birkbeck for £22.0.3 {sterling}, which you
will please to honour & Charge our our {account}. {Messieurs} Sword
& Bell of Philadelphia Acquaint us they have Drawn
on you, Viz.

We have {received} the Two Bales of English Duck from Liverpool
The New Ship goes on fast & well, & promises to be a fine Ship, we
hope she will be Launch'd in Six or Seven Weeks, no pains
is Spar'd to have her a Compleat Vessell & dare Say will
please- {Messieurs} Folger & Gardiner applied to us to
be Concern'd with you & their 1/3 in Oyle to be Shipt you, which
we Complied with, & by this Oppor'y {Captain} Jarvis we have Shipt
[?] about 30 Tons, Invoice &c you'll have in the [Comp?] Letter
We have Shipt about 45 Tons on board Jacobson who will sail
in a few days.

We Desire you will please to pay to Major
General Bastide £18.5.3 Sterl'g, & Charge our acco'tt, being a Ball'ce
due from J.H. to Major Patrick & pd him by his order, MacKellar; & forward his {reckoning}.

By Jacobson we shall ship Two Trunks,
& some Cash for {Captain} Edward Whittmore of Bury St. Edmund's,
when they arrive we pray your care of them, & when he Applies
to Deliver them to him, we shall also forward you a Discharge
for him with the other Heirs of the late {General} Whittmore to Sign.

We have not to add save that we are with Esteem
