posteriour whether there be any actual terminated line or not. According to ur present view of the constitution of matter there is no actual line due to the conjuncture of three different bodies. But if we admit that the centre of mass is an actual point which will be the conclusion which the doctrine of this present book will lead to then the path of a moving centre of mass is an actual line. Perhaps somebody will hastily exclaim that the path the centre of any mass which comes to rest and remains as rest in another. But this is to overlook the astronomical motions.
