The philosophical sciences, by which I mean, 1st phenomenology, 2nd the normative sciences of esthetics, ethics and logic, and 3rd, metaphysics, all of which ought to be sciences aas much as any others, and soon will be so, if this disease does not prevent, - have been of late years illuminated with many brilliant thoughts; and it is also encouraging that the different schools are not in the state of indolent self complacence that they were in, say from 1800 to [18?o].
