Untranscribed 1862

Aprill
Monday 6th this morning is
warm and cloudy Snow melting
very fast wrote home to my
family and also to H. S. McConel
Wilmington went up to the 4th
Reg and witnessed their inspection
by Gen Kenly and part of his staff
was about my quarters nearly
all day spent some time with
the quarter master in my quarters
to night reading & righting
am in good health except the
rheaumatism waggons have not
returned as yet
Tuesday 7th the morning
cloudy and cold I walked
up to the 4th Reg and Saw them
mount their guard our
waggons returned this evening
we will leave int he morning
for our Reg I visited Mr
Yantes and family to see
the child I Batized I
am better of my rheautism
for which I feal thankfull
