got some milk bread & coffee for
breakfast took up our line of march
little after 6 ock halted at 9 ock to rest
passed through Woodstock, and
edenburough crossed the masson
passage a natural curiosity
(high bridge) encamped for the
night at Mt Jackson loged with
a private family gave us bread &
Butter & onions for support I found
the coffee charg 250 Break.f. Loding
forgot my coffee and left it
walked about 2/3 of the march to day

Tuesday 22 am unwell rode to New
Market called in by a lady
and gave me Bread butter and tea
would take no pay never meet with
such a woman. I have her name

gave me bread and butter
with me got into a wagon and
rode Collum(?) encamped in the woods
for (__) stoped at a private house gave
us no supper have no
milk but have 9 milk cows 1100
acres of land treat us coolly got
no breakfast strong rebels laid on
the floor got into an argument
