Dear Kids,

Returned from furlough
Aug 17. + found things in such a
mess that I have hardly had
time to think. Have worked about
night and day but can now see
over the tops at least. But I
guess it hasn't all been for
nothing, I understand I am
to get a Staff Sgt's. rating soon.
I didn't forget your birthday but
I am broke + won't get paid
until the tenth. What would
you like to have?
