get up from my desk she never
fails to say "Where are you going?"
I stayed all night with Mama Lou
Burton while on furlough + saw Jim
+ he got a divorce. I had him
scared. I told him it wasn't worth
a dime as long as I was in service
+ he didn't {struck through sign the] have me sign
the papers. But I am glad he did.
I think I will ask for a transfer
later but I can't get any farther
than Colo. unless I can get out of the
third Air Force.

I get paid Sept. 10 this month as
I was red lined + then I'll send you
a package. I think we are going
to be able to wear civilian clothes
off duty. I am not sure yet.
