AUGUST 17

1931. Mother & myself pealed apples to dry today.

1932. I mowed the yard today. Dad went to town today.

1933. Sis went to town this morning. Jess, Lawrence & Sis will start some time tonight for Chicago. They are going to the World's Fair. I wrote a letter to Mother today.

1934. I spent the day with Mother & Dad. Mother & I went to see Uncle Brock this afternoon. We went to see Ocie also & we ate watermellon & had a real good time. Harpie was at Ocie's also.

1935. Sis went to town this morning. Rex, Dock & I went to town this afternoon and I went to see Jess a little while. I wrote a card to Mother today.

AUGUST 18

1931. We fixed some grapes to make grape juice and I embroidered some today.

1932. I pressed some dresses this morning. I washed the windows and cleaned the back yard this afternoon. I got a letter from Rex today.

1933. I cooked dinner, made a cake and two pies this morning. Jim came this afternoon & got some grapes. I went home with him & helped him carry the grapes home.

1934. Dad & I went to town this morning & I stopped in to see Mrs. Maxwell. She is getting along as well as could be excepted. I went to see Mrs. Mann a little while also. I spent the day at Jessie's. I went down in town a little while this afternoon. Rex & I came home this afternoon.

1935. I stayed at home day. Joseph came this afternoon. I wrote a letter to Mother today.
