Layer Tea Cake.

1/2 cup butter.
1 " sugar
3/4 " milk.
2 1/3 " flour.
2 tsp. baking powder.
Whites of 3 eggs.
Cream the butter, add the sugar
gradually and bear well.
Add the milk and flour in alternation.
Add 1 tsp. extracts & beat the batter
very smooth.
Whisk the whites and fold in.
Bake in 2 layers.
