1/2 lb. figs chopped.
1/2 cup sugar.
1/3 " water.
1 tablespoon lemon juice.
Cook in double boiler until thick enough
to spread well.
Nut filling for White Cake
Beat thoroughly the yolks of 2 eggs
with 4 tblsp. powdered sugar (round)
Add 1 cup thick cream beaten.
Beat all well. Add whites of 2 eggs
beaten dry. Then stir in 1 lb. walnuts
meat chopped fine.
